ABOVE IT ALL

there is a certain intimate symmetry to doing what you love and dedicating your life to it. a kind of satisfying enlightenment which can make one feel invincible. but like all enlightenment it rarely lasts for long. but the taste of knowing you are on the right path or have been on the right path lasts forever. in life inspiration comes and goes like a pulse, a breath in and out, coming and going. and like big fat buddha said that all suffering comes from attachment. you can be attached to anything from a favorite marble, a loved one, or an idea and every one has know loss in one way or another. everyone at one time has lost their way and felt directionless. but really, you are just on a shitty part of the same path. impermanence was built into our very program just as stillness between beats of the heart. the silence between notes and the times of great consternation between golden ages. in the end we are but players in a great big evolution machine. if you take a giant step back and can look at the universe as a whole you can see just how little we actually “get it”. we are all wandering in the desert going in infinite directions.  there is no path, there is only path. yada yada yada. ect. even with all this mumbo jumbo it can still suck when times blow.
